Join us for our VERY FIRST Cancer Take a Hike (CTAH) event! We will take on this brilliant (out and back) 10km route, topping out at Djouce’s 725m summit. Hike duration approx. 3 hours long. Grade = Moderate No charge. A donation to a cancer charity of your choice is always welcome! 💞

Ready for a hit of Wicklow fresh air? Join us for our inaugural Cancer Take a Hike event!
Djouce means "fortified height" and is pronounced "jouse" (as in "jousting"). We will take on this scenic 10km route, with approximately 618m of ascent. Starting from Ballinastoe Lough Tay and Lough Dan car park, climbing through forest tracks and on to open mountain paths leading us to the 725m summit of Djouce Mountain, with a large summit marker and incredible panoramic views on a clear day. This is an out and back route, so we will return the same way back to the car park. This hike is likely to take us approx. 3 hours in total (steady pace with lots of breaks).
Along the way, we will pass the J.B. Malone Memorial, which is a commemoration to one of the visionaries that led to the creation of the Wicklow Way and soak…
