Join Cancer Take a Hike and YouCan Ireland for a gorgeous coastal wander through one of Wexford’s hidden gems - The Raven Nature Reserve. Think sandy forest trails, towering pine trees, sea air, massive sand dunes, stunning harbour views, wildlife spotting (red squirrels, grey seals and plenty of birdlife if we’re lucky!)… basically the perfect excuse to get outdoors and connect with others in nature for a few hours 😌
This beautiful route winds through peaceful woodland paths and ancient sand dunes that have been naturally forming since the 1600s.
The forest is mainly made up of Corsican pine trees, originally planted to help protect the coastline from erosion, and the area is now home to a really unique ecosystem full of native plants and wildlife. The mix of forest, coastline and open grassy areas makes it feel like stepping…
